Bareboat Charter
South Star Charter also offers classic Bareboat Charter, where you charter the sailboat all to yourself so that you are free to live your own personal holiday. We have professional skippers and a fleet of boats that will enable you to have a safe and comfortable cruise, whether it be Classic, Sport or Delux.
Our charter bases are in Salerno (Campania) for trips to the Amalfi Coast, Flegrea Islands, Pontine Islands and the Cilento Coast: Tropea, Marsala, Portorosa and Palermo (Calabria and Sicily) for trips to the Aeolean and Egadi Islands: Marina di Scarlino (Tuscany) for trips to the Island of Elba and Corsica.
In addition, Southstar charters sailboats, catamarans and gullets in Greece, the Balearic Islands, the canary Islands and Turkey. Let us help you decide on the type of holiday you want to take; with or without skipper, type of boat or perhaps a flotilla holiday.
Last but not least, Southstar can organize events such as team-building, conferences, parties, stag/hen trips, honeymoons, photo shoots and regattas.
Sailing Courses
South Star Charter also has a sailing school in Salerno where we offer courses from complete beginners to offshore sailing for sailors with experience. We also offer courses for sailing trimarans.
The sailing school has something for everyone, from total beginners who love the sea but have no practical experience to sailors who already have qualifications but would like to increase their experience and sea-miles in order to be able to go cruising even single-handed and in complete safety. You can learn everything from the first basic sailing techniques to offshore sailing; organizing to best effect a day on board with your crew; cartography from traditional charts to modern navigation systems.
The courses are held by qualified instructors and include one year’s membership to the Southstar Charter Sailing School where you can participate in various social events from Regattas to parties for the whole of 2017.
